Conference Location

Senlis is a French town near Paris, renowned for the gothic Senlis Cathedral and its vast historical monuments. This medieval town has welcomed some of the most famous fi gures in French history, including Hugh Capet, Louis IX, the Marshall of France, Anne of Kiev and Seraphine de Senlis. The monarchs of the early French dynasties lived here, attracted by the proximity of the Chantilly forest.

Senlis is part of the province of l'Oise in the region of Picardie, in northern France, situated between the forests of Chantilly and d'Ermenonville. For the tourist there is a plentitude of churches, the Roman remains, and the nearby Castle of Chantilly to visit all within the beautiful surroundings of Picardie. Downtown Paris is also very accessable being just a 30-40 min drive away.

Conference Venue

Fan 2022 conference and exhibition will take place in the Congress Centre of CETIM, situated at Senlis. Convenient for Charles de Gaulle airport in Roissy (Paris) the conference centre is modern, well equipped and conveniently located for those travelling to the conference, both within France and internationally.

Gala Dinner

The gala dinner will be held in an exceptional place, the royal abbey of Royaumont, the largest Cistercian abbey in the Greater Paris area. It was built by the future King, Saint Louis, in 1228. The building is listed as a Historic Monument and has one of the best Gothic refectories in France.

The seven-hectare Royaumont park including the gardens – from the cloister garden to the Kitchen Garden and the Garden of Nine Squares – lies in the heart of the Oise – Pays de France Regional Nature Park and is listed by the French Ministry of Culture as a Remarkable Garden.

The Royaumont restaurant, located in the North gallery, one of the abbey's most beautiful vaulted rooms, takes a holistic, creative and seasonal approach to French culinary tradition. The menu is inspired by the abbey's Kitchen Garden from which it takes some of its ingredients in addition to the fresh produce provided by small scale, preferably local, French farms.

Please note that the Fan organising committee is not managing hotels reservations. You should book your room directly with the hotel.

Hotel booking in Paris is not recommended due to the heavy road traffic between Paris and Senlis.

Transportation

During the Congress, shuttle service between Cetim (Senlis) and select nearby hotels will be provided.
On the last day of conference, free shuttle transportation will be provided between Cetim Senlis and the Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle Airport.
Otherwise, a fixed price (65 €) has been negociated for the trip to CDG Airport, with "CENTRALE TAXI" / +33 (0)699 75 10 83 / transferts.cetim@gmail.com.

RER line B3 (starting at the metro stations « Gare du Nord » or « Chatelet-Les Halles »). To get off at « Aéroport Charles-de-Gaulle 2 /TGV ». From the Airport Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, it is a 20 minute taxi ride to Senlis.
